The fictional bird's eye view is mainly composed of carefully delineated mountains and rivers with many details of the real world. The characters and styles are influenced by Bosch (no. 29). The dramatic scenery is used as an ornament and vertically divided into three parts to present the composition effect of the triptych. On the left stood the angel, reminding him of the difficulties of getting into heaven, which was only a river from hell. Charon, the boatman on the middle river, paddles his boat over the Styx, carrying his dead soul to hell; Cerberus, the three-headed dog guarding the entrance to hell on the right, stands at one side, while the inferno flashes from behind.
